The Un-define Poverty for Poor

Poverty is one of the common words in development that have a mean for every development worker and professionals. All NGO workers, Professionals and even government are always talking about poverty. In fact this word is most predominately used by developing and under developed country. Every government is talk about this phenomena but everybody have their own means in fact they have their own definition of poverty. Government, planning commission, social worker, development professionals and common person has their own definition for poverty. The question is “What is Poverty?” is any standard format of poverty or its changes according to the situation or context.

I personally visit Rural, Tribal, Costal and Urban context and some of my friend did intensive study in these contexts (I personally did study in rural and tribal). They all try to define poverty but by their own way; according to their contextual situation. The question rise here- are there context have their own definition of poverty?

When I personally visit these contexts and try to co-related my classroom definition of poverty with the situational definition of poverty at that time I fail. I always found some new dimension from my previous definition. And finally I am not getting my answer.

Than I try to see the common thing in these context. I found the value of money- means how much a person can buy their daily need thorough a certain amount. But it does also have own question like how we value the money that itself differs in pace to place and context to context. Than I ask 1 question-is money the perfect and homogenous parameter for measuring or defining the poverty.

My friends always discuss about the definition of poverty, but discussion finish without any result. These discussions are continuing on Face book and other social networking sits as well as other development related sits but result is not positive (I personally feel there is something is missing). In these discussion everybody have their own view and thought about poverty. That’s open new question that poverty is undefined or it’s define according to perception of people or defer according to context.

My friend are talking about the Housing Poverty Index (HPI), Human Development Index (HDI)   and other development index’s but these index’s are able to define the poverty for poor.

The question is who are real poor? This is the question comes in my mined when I try for wealth ranking in my DPS. Actually I am working with small and marginal farmers. Question comes in my mind that we need wealth ranking for farmers? Or how we do wealth ranking for farmers? My fiends always use to say the word “Poor Fellow”. I always ask this question – is these fellow are poor or a person who have 17 acre of Rain-fed farm and not able to grow a single acre of land because of lake of finance, lake of water and other resources. When I visit him I saw his condition that he has 3 children and among of them two are handicaps.

When we see different type of example from different type of context with different type of community; we found different answer of the question. So, if context and situation is different than definition of poverty may be different. That needs intensive attention to reach to real poor. This question is not for me but all who want to do something for people- to define the poor as well as poverty.

Ask the question?

What is the democracy? This question seems very easy, everybody read this in his or her Social Studies book of 10th standard and then we forget but this is not as much as easy we are thinking. It’s too complicated in fact for our common people or citizen of this country are never ever understand the meaning of Democracy. Many people of this country even don’t know what fundamental rights are and even some people know about that our constitution give us the fundamental rights; then they don’t know how many those fundamental rights?
I am talking about here only one fundamental right that our constitution gives us- “right to speech”. We have a right to speech, we have a right to ask the question but how many of us ask the question. Very few. We have a right to as the question but we are silent. We think that why I should ask the question, I think my friend will ask the question and I am with him or her. How can you know one and not the other, when did the question move; it’s give the clarity. If I ask the fist question, but somebody asked the second question. You know its works because none of us know the truth. The offense that is committed was not against Government .Its committed against you, its committed against me. Against every citizen of this country. If that makes you angry or feel misrepresented do something about it.
The responsibility of a country is not in the hands of a privileged few. We are strong and we are free from despotism as long as each one of us remembers his or her duty as a citizen of this country. Whether its to report a chuckhole as the top of you street or lies in New Delhi. Speak out! Ask those question demand that truth. Democracy is not a free ride. But this is where we live. And if we do our job, this is where our children will live.

The secret

My life is disaster, I am nothing, I cannot do anything in my life; many of the people in this world is think like that and they are like that because they are thinking like it. Why it’s happen, in fact no body know about this?
I have an answer, “Law of Attraction”. Yes, what we think it’s happen with us. When we think good happenings always good but when we think negatively, happening always negative. When we think about something; our mind send some electromagnetic waves to other people as well as other part of body and body (your and others) transform it into energy that can become a moment. However, these electromagnetic waves those change into in energy become happening. Let take the example of that how it is happen. You are walking on the street, thinking about; somebody came to you, and you become a victim of pickpocket and it happen with you. This happens with many people but how it happen, this is electromagnetic waves, which move here and there, and if somebody get the waves than he or she will do with this to you.
There are two types of electromagnetic waves, positive and negative. When we think only positive at that time everything happen positively with you but in case of negative thoughts, it has become negative. These two are working at same time but we are not able to understand the difference between both. The most successful person of the world is positive person. Their attitude is always positive and that’s positive attitude make them successful. This is the Secret. So, think positively and become a happy.

What should I do?

I am going for my second fieldwork. Still I am preparing my objective and hypothesis and research question. I do not know how I will do this research; in fact still I am not clear about, what I will do in my research. I afraid about this field work. My friends are very clear about their research and I do not know what I am doing. My place is decided my topic even my date for leaving the campus but I do not know how I will start and complete my research. Did I complete my research I have a drought on it. But let its try and see the result.

Many time people are thinking some thing and doing some thing, this is the situation with me now, I don’t know what now I am doing and what I will present to my panel. My teacher always says that every researcher should have passions to conduct our research but I loss my passions. Now one situation come called prisoners dilemma. I do not know how I will come out from this situation. One thing I know that time will take care of every thing and times regulate us. Therefore, my concern at that time is to leave me in the hand of time and god and wait for the result and do our assign work.

What we do in future?

Earth is very beautiful and one of the most beautiful creation of god. Earth is a living planet. We all live on earth but we don’t know where we from come, we don’t know where we from first time we life is come on earth. Earth is livening engine because the bacteria’s was first living thing on earth, who consumes energy; they are parent of all present species exits on earth. The earth is living because of these species and these species are live because of oxygen. But the questions is comes our mind, how this oxygen comes on our planet, it’s a cycle- the cycle of carbon. This carbon is accumulated in the form of micro organisms. Through these micro organisms and sun light, its brake in different molecules and make the water. This water is the major source of life on our planet. Every spices of this planet are required water. It’s present in the form of gas (vapor), solid (ice) and Liquid (running water). World’s biggest migrations of wilder beats are due to the water. Early man was migrated from Africa because of water. Our whole ecosystem is run on the basis of water.
We are only 200 thousand year old but we change the face of our planet. We acquired the entire place, where we want to stay; this was never happened before. None any other spices have a growth like us. They change themselves according to the situation and have a capability to services at any condition.
Over the period, we are able to utilized every thing exist on this planet. We use coal for energy, we use natural gas and other resources for our daily lives, but the question is; how long we are able to use it? One day every thing will be finish. What happened at that time? What we will do? At the same time, we have another big question; what we will give to our next generation? These questions are for all; for you. For me?
We are able to change any thing. We can do any thing but the question is; what we are going to change now? We can change any thing but we forget that the nature have superpower. We have a live example of Japan’s tsunami. Now the question is for us; what we want?
